FOCUS GROUP TRAINING

2012 SCHEDULE

The GDI training workshop,

CONDUCTING PROFESSIONAL FOCUS GROUPS,

is grounded in group dynamics theory and principles of qualitative research methods.

Call 207-841-4842 for on-site training at your facility anywhere in the world!

Two GDI manuals support the training:
THE POWER OF FOCUS GROUPS

A Training Manual for Academic,

Social, and Policy Research

and
CONDUCTING PROFESSIONAL

FOCUS GROUPS IN THE FIELD

The GDI Mini-Manual

The two-day training is an intensive experience in which participants work in teams to design a research project, develop the moderator’s guide and screening/recruitment mechanisms, and moderate mock focus groups based on their designs and guides.

Those who have completed this training may stay for a third day of advanced work. This day’s agenda is flexible and follows the specific needs of participants for further work in moderation, design, or data analysis.

Fees depend on the number of participants and the number of days of training. All on-site training is tailored to the specific needs and research agendas of your organization.
