The field of evaluation research stresses understanding how and whether objectives and inputs produce desired real-world outcomes in programs, projects, policies, practices, and publications. NEW HORIZONS overviews basic evaluation principles plus core qualitative methods (for example, in-depth interviews, focus groups, direct observation, and participant observation) and their use in conjunction with quantitative approaches. Emphasis in Day I is on research design and integration of methods; Day II focuses on data gathering and data control, protection, and analysis.

 Limited to 16 participants.

Strong team-work and interactive learning strategies. 

Fee $1000 per person. 

Includes two GDI training manuals and all other materials.
